How is this different from traditional sex therapy and talking therapies?
My trauma-informed therapeutic practice sessions offer a fresh and alternative approach to traditional sex therapy and talk therapies, while being grounded in theory and research. Sessions are client-led and always include talking and a focus on somatic (body-based) practices. These may include education or coaching in anatomy, breath, movement, body awareness, consent, touch, the erotic mind, and Acceptance & Commitment Therapy practices. Clients report that the techniques help them to feel more in their bodies.
What happens during a session?
We talk and co-create Learning Objectives and Educational Contracts together. I make suggestions for practices, which all require your full and enthusiastic consent. Your intentions and goals will guide this work. I am here to support you on this journey.
